We're Jarod and Bobby Minghini — brothers, Lake Tahoe locals, and founders of Tahoe WakeBusters. We grew up skiing this mountain in winter and living on this lake every summer. Our passion for the outdoors led us to start WakeBusters, and we've been sharing the magic of Lake Tahoe for over 10 years.
We built this company around one idea: give every guest the best possible day on the water. That means the finest boats, everything included, honest prices, and local knowledge no app can replicate.
Yes! Every rental includes a full tank of gas as part of your charter price. No extra charges, no surprises at check-out.
All life jackets are included for all guests. Children 12 and under are required to be in a vest at all times — we will outfit them at the start of the charter.
All wakesurf and powerboat rentals include the relevant toys — wakesurf boards, wakeboards, waterskis, and towable tubes. Pontoon boats and party barges include pool-style floaties and inflatables. Coolers are also included.
All boats from Tahoe WakeBusters require a USCG-certified captain. You may bring your own licensed captain or hire one of ours. Our captains are $50/hr + tip, paid directly day-of.
Each boat holds up to 10–13 people. For larger groups (up to 40+), we can deploy multiple boats simultaneously. Call us and we'll put together a custom package.

Parking is available at the marina we operate out of. Parking is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE — arrive 20 minutes early to allow extra time for parking and loading.
Your boat departs at the exact time of your booking. Your rental begins at the time of your reservation — please plan to arrive early.
Ice • Food & beverages • Towels • Sunscreen • Personal medications • Downloaded playlist (cell service can be spotty). Limit glass — bring solo cups.
Well-behaved pets are welcome aboard! Let us know in advance so we can make sure your furry friend has a great day on the lake too.
Cancel up to 7 days before your charter for a full refund — no questions asked.
If weather doesn't cooperate, we'll work with you on a rain check or issue a full refund. Your experience matters.
If you don't show up for your scheduled charter without prior notice, no refund will be issued.
